Lucky Ladies Blackjack Review – Everything You Need to Know

Scott Lawson Written By Scott Lawson Published on 02.08.2018 Last Updated on 06.06.2024

The game may sound more suited for the fairer sex, but a quick read through this Lucky Ladies Blackjack review and you’ll see that FELT Gaming’s purple table game is appealing to anyone with a pulse and a love for blackjack. This developer has shown us that it does blackjack well, with a vast series of games. They may not be the most thrillingly different variants though – but aren’t we all here to play the game of 21 and not some unrecognisable offspring? FELT’s games are available at a number of casinos, but I’d recommend checking out my top pick below.

Lucky Ladies Blackjack Rules and Features

Before playing any variants, it’s important to have at least a basic understanding of the rules of blackjack. Essentially, you are playing against the dealer and the aim is to have the combined total of your cards be as close to 21 as possible without going over. If you’re going to play Lucky Ladies Blackjack, you should know a little about the rules specific to this game which is played with six decks of cards. You can play up to three hands simultaneously against the dealer, who must stand on soft 17s. Blackjack pays out at the standard rate of 3:2 while the side bets vary, more on those later. In terms of game’s RTPs, you’re in luck as Lucky Ladies has a very high 99.63% return rate. This game does not offer a surrender option, but insurance is available. This is betting on whether or not the dealer has blackjack and does not affect the outcome of the hand.

If you’re wondering about Lucky Ladies Blackjack strategy, there isn’t an enormous amount I can tell you that would differ from regular blackjack strategies. The most common tips are don’t hit on 17 or above and don’t take side bets, but these are a matter of personal preference. Visually speaking, this game has been designed to be easy on the eyes. Using muted tones of somewhat unusually, purple, this game is a soothing break from the flashing lights and graphics of video slots. The gameplay is very smooth although slightly too slow for my personal tastes with no option to increase the speed of play.

Side Bet

The name of the game refers to the ultimate hand in this optional side bet – a pair of the Queen of Hearts. The side bet is won if the first two cards you are dealt have a combined total of 20 or feature at least one Queen. The Queen of Hearts pair bet pays out at 100:1 which is great but the chances of this being dealt are rather slim. Other options for those looking to raise the stakes include the Matched Twenty side bet – two cards of the same suit and face value that add up to 20 which pays at 30:1, Suited Twenty – two cards of the same suit with a combined value of 20 (10:1) and Any Twenty – two cards of any kind combine to make 20. Players can also bet on Any Queen – one of the first two cards will be a Queen which pays at 1:1. Once again, I cannot recommend playing with side bets if you’re in this to make money as the RTP of side bets is dramatically smaller than regular bets at 93.78%.
