Software developer, EveryMatrix, has announced the appointment of Rafael Campuzano as its new Chief Technical Officer (CTO). He will be leading the technical development of new programs and driving the company’s innovation. He brings almost two decades of experience in the industry, having previously acted as CTO with Bit8, a fellow software developer in the online gambling industry.

Overseeing Expansion

The hiring of Campuzano is the latest in a number of developments from the London-based organisation, as EveryMatrix looks to expand rapidly and offer its products to a greater number of clients. In September, it announced that titles were also added just the following month. Such deals have secured the company’s place as one of the biggest and most influential developers currently trading. Campuzano will head technical operations from EveryMatrix’s Bucharest office, where the bulk of innovation, research and technical design is carried out. It seems as though streamlining processes and increasing productivity and output within the company is a key aim for the new CTO, who states that he will “work with the teams to help them deliver the best features to our clients while beating competitors’ time to market”.

Highly Experienced and Regarded

Having worked in software and communications companies for 19 years, Campuzano will add a lot of experience to the company as it aims to grow further. His knowledge of this specific industry niche cannot be questioned, either, as he was CTO for Bit8 for almost three years, having been appointed to the role in 2016. Bit8 is a fellow software developer, catering to online casinos, giving EveryMatrix’s new CTO plenty of insight into online casino product development. However, the two companies are not direct competitors, focusing on different parts of the chain between operator and player. Bit8 specialises in algorithms that calculate the best ways to increase takings from players over extended periods of time, while EveryMatrix focuses solely on enabling players to play games. As such, there seems to be no tension between the two firms over the appointment. In a statement released by EveryMatrix, CEO Ebbe Groes commented directly on Campuzano’s suitability for the role.

“Rafael is an authentic tech passionate and we are positive that his hands-on approach will generate many valuable insights and exciting new ideas. We are thrilled to have Rafael joining our team, and we are sure his talent and comprehensive knowledge will greatly contribute to our expansion.”Ebbe Grose, CEO, EveryMatrix

Groes continued, stating that he expects that the company will see continued rapid growth under the new leadership and that Campuzano will help to bring “performance to even higher levels than today”. Asked to comment on his new role, Campuzano was enthusiastic and optimistic about the prospects before him. He expressed a love for the “contagious enthusiasm of the team” at EveryMatrix and lauded the “young spirit and their thriving for excellence”. On a more practical note, looking forward, the new CTO said that his focus is “to make sure our clients can concentrate on what really matters to them thanks to our stable and smooth-running applications and systems”. Such a statement makes clear that for Campuzano and EveryMatrix in general, the product comes first.

CasinoEngine: The Software Itself

EveryMatrix provides a number of different software products to dozens of clients throughout the industry. However, the flagship program is CasinoEngine. This technology allows for the easy implementation of different products on to a casino site. The idea behind this kind of program is that many different games from various different production companies can be integrated swiftly and easily onto a single platform, which a specific operator can then use to enable smooth implementation onto its site. All in all, this leads to faster loading times for players, as well as encouraging sites to carry larger numbers of games, coming from a larger number of different software developers. As already mentioned, the platform has recently had two major providers added to its roster, but all-in-all over 30 new software developers added their products to the CasinoEngine platform in 2018. The list now includes NetEnt, Evolution Gaming, Microgaming, Betsoft, iSoftBet, Pragmatic Play, Quickspin, Play’n GO, IGT and Thunderkick. These companies provide over 8,000 different titles, which are all then housed on one platform. The list of casinos using this platform is also increasing steadily, and now includes international brands such as Genesis Casino and Casino Cruise, while its main focus is currently on the Scandinavian markets.
